A Hunter Tradition Returns To Its Roots

Tulloch Wines, a great Hunter name, has returned to its roots with a Tulloch once again at it's helm and the opening of a new state-of-the-art Cellar Door facility in the heart of Pokolbin.

Continuing the Tulloch tradition which started in the hunter in 1895, the new Cellar Door incorporates a beautiful wine country setting set amongst manicured gardens with contemporary charm.

Nestled among vines at the foot of the Broken Back mountain range, on land owned by the Tulloch family for the last 60 years, the cellar door sparks a new era in the Tulloch history.

Combining contemporary design with traditional charm the new building houses old winemaking equipment, historical photography and many pieces from the Tulloch families rich history in the Hunter.

Tulloch Wines invites visitors to the cellar door from 10am - 5pm daily to experience the true heritage of the Hunter Valley first hand.

All the wines you love from the Tulloch range, including our famous Tulloch Verdelho, are available for tasting and sales through our cellar door. Also available is our exclusive range of Cellar Door Only wines, from interesting and emerging varietals like Sangiovese and Marsanne to our premium Limited Releases Range, including the Hector Shiraz, Julia Semillon and E.M. Chardonnay.

Groups and coaches are welcome by appointment or please call in advance to book a private tasting in the Museum Room or our more intimate E.M and Hector Rooms. Tulloch can take group bookings of up to 60 people, and all booked groups enjoy a personalised tasting experience with one of our friendly, knowledgable and helpful staff.

Tulloch Wines is closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.

A New Direction

Under the direction of Jay Tulloch and his youngest daughter, Christina - the General Manager, the company aims for a period of renewed growth and innovation that draws on the ability to produce wine styles for all generations.

The current Tulloch range, which also feature a complete contemporary label redesign, spans a broad varietal base and completes a portfolio produced from premium Hunter varietals, while maintaining a modest price base and approachable style. The new Cellar Door will also be home to the range of JYT Wines, a boutique label started by Jay and his wife, Julia, in 1997.

The new facility on the corner of McDonald and DeBeyers Road Pokolbin, is also home to a range of premium Cellar Door only wines. These include the popular Tulloch fortifieds and emerging varieties which gives tasters the opportunity to experiment with new styles. A premium range of Limited Releases, made only in exceptional years, also feature in the Cellar Door only range.
