JYT Sangiovese The JYT Sangiovese is one of our most sought after reds and returns to the cellar door again for a short period of time. It is has sweet ripe berry flavours with a prominent, long smooth finish. Sangiovese is a red Italian grape variety, most famous for its use in Italy for Chianti. It has typically proven quite a difficult grape variety in the Hunter, with a tendency to ripen late. The Sangiovese is planted on the JYT home vineyard at the foot of the Brokenback Mountain range in the heart of Pokolbin. |
